Down Time

Just a short notice to say I have some shoulder issues going on and will have to take some downtime from the computer. I'm fine, doing physical therapy and have gotten through this before, but won't be able to keep up with the blog, twittering etc for awhile. My store at 1000 Markets will still be open and I'll be reading other blogs etc when I can, just won't be commenting. See you when it's better :)

Ever since I was a little child I've had a fascination with how oil film sits on top of puddles in an awesome array of colors. I can't tell you how many times I was told not to 'dawdle' because I was mesmerized in place, so you have to know I was going to be mesmerized when I saw this collection of fire patina on copper! I not only love the colors but the shapes of the pieces is so zen-like that I definitely have one on my wishlist :)

Art for the Body re-blog

Sharon's work is strong, vibrant and heavily ethnic. She works with an unlikely combination of materials. The bracelets start with her own graphic art that is printed on thin paper, which is then meticulously laminated to various sizes of small tubing, and then assembled with a variety of materials including polymer clay, glass, metal, rubber and plastic.
